Process Traceability & Monitoring
The system records force-displacement curve data for every riveting cycle in real time, enabling full process replay and analysis. Multiple detection modes identify material tolerance deviations or positional inconsistencies during production.
Batch Anti-Leakage System
A preset counter tracks required rivets per part. The count automatically decreases with each operation, resets upon completion, and triggers an audible alarm to prevent missed rivets, ensuring part integrity.

Positive Limit Function

Positive Limit Function

Core Mechanism:

Combines mechanical stops and pressure sensors to control the upper die’s descent endpoint (adjustable 0–200mm). When processing aluminum, copper, or coated/thinned materials (≤1.0mm), the system automatically activates limit protection to prevent direct contact with sensitive surfaces.

Performance:

  • Eliminates scratches on aluminum/coated components
  • Prevents deformation on 0.8mm stainless steel plates (no surface indentation)
  • No manual adjustments required for compatibility with soft material applications

Pressure Holding Function & Anti-Deflection Design

Pressure Holding:

After reaching the set pressure, the system maintains stable pressure for ≥6 seconds to release elastic deformation in metal materials fully. This eliminates the risk of post-riveting loosening, particularly for high-strength materials like stainless steel.

Anti-Deflection:

The frame is constructed from 45# steel C-frame machined as a single unit (no welding), with a thickness of 80mm to resist lateral stress. Under full 57kN load, deflection remains below 0.1mm, ensuring riveting perpendicularity ≤0.05° and reducing pressure dependency by 15% compared to standard machines.

Anti-Pinch Safety System

Safety System

The system uses a low-voltage safety circuit (≤24V) between the upper die and workpiece.
Normal Operation: When the upper die contacts a conductive workpiece (e.g., metal), the circuit closes → machine proceeds with full pressure.
Safety Trigger: If the circuit fails to close, the system instantly cuts power → upper die stops and retracts within 0.3 seconds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your questions about our fastener insertion machines, answered by our experts.

Will this machine scratch aluminum housings?

100% protection for coated surfaces. Positive limit system prevents direct contact. Tested 0% scratches (vs. 30% damage rate in conventional machines).

A hydraulic riveting machine is a piece of equipment that combines mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical control technology to permanently join materials by forming a head on a rivet.

The working principle involves three key stages :

  1. Pressure Generation: A hydraulic pump provides pressure to the system, stored in a reservoir and delivered through a cylinder to generate mechanical force.

  2. Rivet Setting: The riveting head, containing the dies and anvil, is positioned over the rivet. When hydraulic pressure is applied, the piston extends and compresses the rivet.

  3. Head Formation: The die shapes the head of the rivet while the anvil supports the tail, preventing expansion or bending during compression.

Selecting the appropriate riveting machine depends on several factors :

1. Material Thickness & Type

Consider the thickness range of materials you’ll be joining

Different materials (steel, stainless steel, aluminum) require different force capabilities

The 618MAX handles M10 nuts / M8 studs with 54 KN force, suitable for most sheet metal applications

2. Production Volume

Low volume: Manual or semi-automatic machines may suffice

High volume: Fully automatic machines with a modular autofeed system improve efficiency

3. Riveting Force Required

Calculate based on rivet size and material strength

Formula: Force = Shear Strength of Rivet × Number of Rivets

4. Special Requirements

Soft materials: Look for forward limit protection

High-strength materials (stainless steel): Dwell control function prevents springback

5. Automation Needs

Consider whether you need I/O communication for integration with production lines

The 618MAX supports automation connectivity for future upgrades
