The CSW-L-Z1-1080 is a CNC stud welder built for thin-sheet work, such as electrical cabinet doors. It uses an automatic-feed, servo-driven gun for adjustable height and reliable welds. Pneumatic mobile clamps handle folded edges and irregular parts. The machine offers modular feeding, automatic stud-detection, multi-gun support, and CNC programming for complex patterns.

Our standard welding gun is an automatic, angled-feed design. A servo motor adjusts the gap between the stud and the workpiece, allowing the gun height to be adapted to the sheet profile and preventing collisions. The system automatically measures and compensates for studs of varying lengths but identical outer diameter. As long as the stud outer diameter is the same, a single gun can be used for multiple stud lengths.
The work clamping system uses pneumatically actuated, mobile clamps. Clamp height, angle and position are fully adjustable to accommodate any workpiece profile. The clamps can securely hold parts with folded or flanged edges. The stud-welding platform comes standard with four clamps. Large clamps are designed for parts with folded or flanged edges. Small clamps suit thin sheets, precision components, or production that requires frequent stud-size changes for multi-model runs.
Our automatic stud feeding system is offered in two configurations: a standard roller feed and a custom vibratory-bowl feed. The roller feed suits common studs (M3–M8), while the vibratory bowl handles special or nonstandard studs. The feeding unit comprises four assemblies: a vibratory-bowl pick mechanism, a pneumatic feeding actuator, the automatic welding gun, and the feed tube. The system is engineered for high load capacity, low noise, and energy efficiency. An integrated stud-presence detection function prevents dry cycles and reduces downtime, improving overall welding throughput.

Your questions about our cnc stud welding machines, answered by our experts.
The CSW-L-Z1-1080 can accommodate up to four welding guns. Each additional gun reduces the available travel (working stroke) by approximately 200–300 mm.
When stud welding on galvanized sheets, variations in the zinc coating can cause poor joints. Without surface preparation, stud welds may show spatter, weak bonds, or incomplete fusion. Our optional coating-removal module for the CNC stud welder strips the zinc with either an automatic milling cutter or a laser. The optional produces firmer, more reliable stud welds. Depth and area of coating removal are adjustable to suit different coating thicknesses.
For the CSW-L-Z1-1080 standard machine, the feed tube is compatible with M3–M8 studs 8–25 mm long. Only the feeding module needs to be changed when switching stud sizes. The welding gun tip is interchangeable for M3–M6 studs. It is recommended to use feed tubes matched to the stud diameter. If a matched feed tube is unavailable, a tube sized for M3–M6 may be used temporarily, but this can cause air leakage and reduce feeding reliability.
